Born in Bangor, Northern Ireland Gillian Revie began dancing at the age of three. At the time of being accepted into the Royal Ballet School Gillian was Irish Champion in both Ballet and Irish dancing and seven years later she was offered a contract with the Royal Ballet Company. Thus began a career performing a vast repertoire of soloist and principle roles such as Manon, Sugar Plum Fairy, Mary (Mayerling) and Anastasia with world-renowned stars such as Irek Mukhamedov, Carlos Acosta, Edward Watson, Johan Kobborg and Jonathan Cope and worked with Choreographers such as Sir Kenneth MacMillan, William Forsyth, Mats Ek, David Bintley, Ashley Page and Twyla Tharp.

In 2007 Gillian completed The Royal Ballet School Teacher Training Course for Professional Dancers with Distinction. She joined the staff at English National Ballet School in September 2008 as graduate year tutor and in January 2009 was appointed Artistic Coordinator and enjoyed the duties of Rehearsal Director.

She relocated to Australia with her family in August 2010 and immediately became immersed in the Sydney dance scene devoting her time to helping dancers reach their true potential.

“Having had the pleasure of teaching many of Sydney’s most dedicated ballet students, I have been really inspired by their commitment, drive and fearless approach to such a demanding vocation. It is very important now for me to pass on the vast knowledge that I have been lucky enough to be given by some of the world’s most renowned teachers and choreographers. I would like to think that I can enhance these students awareness of the requirements needed to become a professional and help them to make appropriate and realistic decisions."

Gillian Started her own business "Classical Ballet 121" which allows ballet students the opportunity to analyze and apply technical corrections in a positive, nurturing environment. Her one to one coaching gives insight into dancers personal artistic qualities within the pure technical framework of classical ballet and helps them to achieve their true potential.
